Define the first operational outcome
Choose the recurring HR work that must improve first, such as finding employee records, reviewing attendance, managing leave, or preparing workforce reports. A focused first outcome gives configuration and training a clear purpose and prevents the implementation from becoming an unfocused data-entry exercise.
Prepare employee data before migration
List the sources that currently hold employee information, identify duplicates and inactive records, define mandatory fields, and assign someone to approve corrections. Migrate a representative sample before the complete workforce so field formats, organisation structures, and historical information can be checked safely.
Design roles, attendance, and approvals together
HR administrators, managers, employees, and leadership need different information and actions. Document who may view, create, approve, correct, export, and report on each kind of record. If attendance devices or payroll exports are involved, define the official record and the exception workflow before connecting them.
Roll out mobile self-service with support
Introduce Android and iOS self-service around a small set of useful tasks, explain how employee information is protected, and give people a clear support route. Measure active use, completion time, corrections, unresolved requests, and administrator effort after launch so the next improvement is based on evidence.
